Attempt to document my life in an artistic way || Daily blogging?

Hello Humans out there !!

I had an idea a few days ago which I really wanted to write on my blog. It was inspired by one of Zoella's daily vlogs. She mentioned an app where she snaps a picture every day, and then after a year she can view everything. Sort of like an app scrapbook thingy where she captures one second of her life everyday..something like that - watch her videos to know more :p

So anyway, I want to try something similar here on my blog. I will take one picture (minimum) everyday and upload it on my blog. Not sure if I will be able to keep up with this activity daily, but sounds like fun to me :p

I have always been the kind of person who kept diaries. When I was seven, it was the pathetic ugly notebooks that cost less than Rs.20. As i got older, thankfully the diaries got better, prettier & jucier :p
Of course, it has been impossible for me to write everyday - mostly because i get lazy sometimes. However, I always go back to writing. Not sure how to explain the relief after penning down eery fragment of your thoughts - it is lie the diary will never betray you or tell somebody else or judge you. A bff on mute :p
I even started a scrapbook - but I failed to fill it so far. I do have the intention of filling it though :3

Since it is not always easy to come up with a blog post every single day, this tiny idea of mine will come in handy :)

Also, it is a way of documenting my life as well. Yes I do know that the norm is to publish everything on Facebook, Instagram & Snapchat. As much as I love stalking people on social media and once in a while like to post a pretty picture, I am really glad that I never caved in to posting everything about my life online. I never will either.

Obviously the pictures on my blog will not reveal who I am or who my friends are - that part will be for the scrapbook. They do not necessarily need to make a lot of sense either.

I will call this project daily blogging :p After all, it is my own space on the internet and i do whatever i want with it !! <3

Hypersharp Maybelline Eyeliner

Dear Humans :)

I love Maybelline !!! <3

Eyeliners are my favourite ! The Hypersharp Maybelline one is absolutely fantastic !! To be honest, I never have any bad things to say about Maybelline products - so far in my lifetime anyway.

Cat eyes, flicks, wing liners - Whatever you like, this will do the job perfectly ! It is long lasting and water proof as well! I only rave about it, there are no flaws to it. Of course, the black is not as 'colossal' as a colossal kajal or a lasting drama 24H liner but it is one of the best liquid liners that I have ever used.

It does not feel heavy on the eyelids - a feeling I detest !! It is perfect for everyday make up. You might need a touch up if you are transitioning from a day to night look just so that your eyes pop more. Otherwise, it will last a good 12 hours.

Also, the brush? the liner? the applicator? whatever you call that thing in the picture, well it is so comfortable to use. Not too think, not too thin. It really helps with precision. I sometimes like an extremely thin line - very subtle. Other times I love to go all out - dramatic and super black. In any case, this applicator helps a lot !

I have had this for over a year and it does not seem to finish. So add long lasting to the list of pros (y).

Also, can we talk about the packaging? I rarely talk about packaging because I truly do not care. As long as the product works,  am good ! However, this one I love !! It caught my eye. It looks really classy for some reason.

The size as well is very adequate. I find myself dropping it in any handbag that I am carrying. I do not face the issue of the cap coming out loose and my bags going all black inside. So, another plus !!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!

Anyhow lovely humans, I hope you are having a good day whereever you are. I certainly am not :p Thankfully my blog helps to distract me :p

Recent Read : The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins | Thoughts

Hello Humans !!

If you read my blog then you know I have this thing where I write a post about the books that I read (sometimes). Reading is very therapeutic. I get to see the shit unfolding in character's lives and for some reasons, it makes me feel better :p Like I am not the only one with a shitty life.. Sometimes I feel like I am leading the characters life. Does that sound crazy? Probably.

Anyhow, I recently read The Girl on The Train.

On my copy of the book, someone reviewed it as the next Gone Girl. Sadly, I do not share the same opinion.

After Gone Girl, i was like : SHIT ! WTFF ! OMG !

I did not really have the same reaction for this one. I think I read so many reviews of this book where people are raving about how unpredictable the author is. Maybe she is, but i figured the story out about halfway through the book. I had thought I would be mind blown, but i was not. Nonetheless, it is a great story, Wonderful writing. There is a line from the book : "...there's an itch at the back of my brain that i just can't scratch." That is exactly how I felt during the first half of the book. I wanted it to be like that till the very end. I slightly hate myself for figuring out the plot beforehand.

Rachel is a delight to read - I got so engrossed in her character that I sometimes felt like i was drunk myself ! That's how good the narration is. The drowsiness, blurriness and blackouts - so very well described. I love how the narration is not one where the character is feeling bad about drinking from the beginning. How gradual the shift is from religiously drinking to having to snap out of it. Most impressive part was that she was not helped by anyone.

Megan is one character that I did not connect with - on any level. I could not understand the fascination Rachel had with her nor her way of being really. Though, I assume there are actual real people out there like that.. Anyhow, not much to say about Megan.. She is not alive for the most part of the book.

Anna has very little narration. I did not like her very much from Rachel's perspective but when I read her viewpoint, she made much more sense. I would have loved to read more of what Anna felt.

Anyway, for her first book, Paula Hawkins did a smashing job. I would say this book was a solid 3.5/5 stars. I adore the fact that all loose ends were tied at the end of the book because I hate to be left hanging :p

It is not a lazy book as well - in the sense that you have to keep track of events and the date stamps at the beginning of each chapter. For someone who was bored to death as me, it was entertaining! I cannot wait to watch the movie in ! Plus, it stars one of my favourite actresses as Rachel <3
