My Ideal Bookshelf | December 2016

Hello Humans of the Globe !!

There exists on this Earth an art form we call 'writing'. Tis true that nowadays a lot of rubbish has made it into the category. However, there are still masterpieces that are being written by amazing authors and also, books that have already left their marks on this world that can satisfy a reader's hunger for good writing.

There seems to be this great confusion that if something is popular, then it is supposedly equally valuable. Spefically, I am referring to people who are cutting corners and becoming 'writers' of popular books..pretty sure they have not even read classics !  It can be frustrating when these books become best sellers.. of course there are exceptions but very few.

Anyhow, I have compiled a list of writers whose work I have had the opportunity to read so far in my lifetime. They have left me in awe for their writing is so pure, creative and hold such literary value !  Some of these books simply touch you and you just cannot resist reading them over and over again. They are like watching your favourite movie time and again, knowing the whole thing by heart (Harry Potter readers might relate :p).

There will be sequels to this particular posts as I believe I have yet to read many more master writer's work !

Disclaimer : the following list is no order of priority whatsoever and genres differ, as well as literary value of their work. I have added my favourite book next to the author as well

  • Emily Bronte - Wuthering Heights
  • Paulo Coelho - The Alchemist
  • Monica Hess - yet to find my ultimate fav. but highly recommend The Girl in the Blue  Coat
  • Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet
  • Tenessee Williams - beautiful use of the English language !! Yet to find my favourite. 'The Glass Menagerie' is a great read.
  • Virginia Andrews - Any one of her books really.. she grabs you from the very first sentence
  • J.K Rowling - Harry Potter Series undoubtedly
  • Paula Hawkins - not necessarily any favourite but she writes damn well
  • J.R.R Tolkien - The Hobbit !
  • George Martin - an excrutiatingly detailed and painstakingly well written series - GAME OF THRONES !
  • Jojo Moyes - The one plus one
  • Geoffrey Chaucer - Canterbury Tales (must admit that it is very hard to read)
  • Harper Lee - Classic : To kill a Mockingbird
  • Jane Austen - no favourite but appreciate the writing style !
Anyhow I gotta run people, penning off,

Depressing December

Hello Humans of this planet !!

So I hate December. Worst month of the year. HATE HATE HATE ! Like, what's with all the festivities? It is just depressing !

With festivities come crowds of people and with people come hypocrisy ! I just cannot handle it.

And are people actually that happy? Is that humanly possibly? Or maybe I am the defective one..most probably !

Anyhow I just had to input these few words somewhere on the internet. I will be sulking till next year mid January..when everyone will be sad and broke !! :D That'll make me feel normal XD

Recent Read : the Girl in the Blue Coat by Monica Hesse | Thoughts

Hello globe dwellers :)

It's been a while since I posted a recent read.. not that i did not read any books but i have the bad habit of not finishing books :p I keep starting new books and then forget about them and then come back again much later and finish reading them :p Some I do not even finish because I truly believe if the beginning does not blow my mind then the end will probably be as rubbish.

So anyway, this one I finished in 3 - 4 sittings because it was that gripping ! It was really refreshing to read a story based in Amsterdam at the time of war. History is really something that makes me sleep unless my boyfriend is telling me about it or as i have just discovered is the backdrop of a fictional story. The fact that the author did not make the 'history' part up is mostly why this book will be added to my favourites. I got to learn about shitty situations in which Jews were living at the time, the power of Hitler and the cruelty that came with it, a lot about Amsterdam ( not that i was particularly interested but I would like to believe that  I have few additional useful neurons added to my brain now XD) and about the pain of losing someone.

I bought this book purely because of the cover. Yes, the title does remind you of the girl on the train but the story, plot and genre are completely different. Also, this one is wayyy more interesting as i genuinely could not guess what was going to happen next. I was very much oblivious to many details just as the main character. The story is narrated by the latter and you kind of picture everything from her perspective. Monica smartly leaves a lot of cues which eventually contribute to the climax and ending of the story. I honestly was unable to pick all of them - i was blinded by what Hanneke describes, sees and feels. She is grieving her dead boyfriend and that somehow transcribes in all her actions and decisions. At one point I did get irritated by her lack of judgement but then what can you expect from someone who is in so much pain? She feels betrayed by her best friend and her overly worried parents do not make her task any easier.

The whole plot basically unfolds around Hanneke's search for that Jewish girl in the blue coat. Sounds boring yet it is the complete opposite. Bravery is a recurrent theme and so is grief. Not the depressing kind of grief; the motivating kind of grief, the inspiring kind - the kind which makes you get up in the morning and do things for people purely so that they do not have to go through the pain of losing someone.

The fact that Hanneke and her circle have to be camouflaging almost all the time and the fact that they always have to have a cover story kind of got to me. I understand how it feels when you have to hide a major chunk of your existence to :
1. your family
2. ennemies
3. strangers who behave like they are family

It was exciting to see the characters rebelling silently against the Nazis. I almost wanted to be a character in the book :p Almost.

Monica writes with such fluidity, it is an absolute pleasure to read. I would say it was easy to read but that would take away from the literary value of the language. It was also fun to know the meaning of words like : 'onderduikers'. I say words but onderduiker is the only one i remember right now XD

In a few words the books was: enriching, astonishing, inspiring and to the point  !

Definitely recommend it !

Penning off,
A hungover Buslady ( hung over that book ! )

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Nope, nothing that you have not seen in a Karan Johar movie before (except for an extremely sensual beautiful aishwarya :p)

THOUGH..watching the movie does transport you in a dark emotional sad place.. you can really feel that Karan Johar wrote this film from a very personal space. Kudos to him for trying to put a piece of himself out there..

Ranbir Kapoor was amazing but it is nothing that he has not done before. It is just a combination of everything he has done to be honest. The role suits him well and he does justice to the character but I was kind of expecting more novelty. That did not happen .

Anushka was WOW ! Refreshing..new new new and nothing I have seen before. Loved her performance. She should get best actress popular. Popular because she has done more demanding roles in the past :p

Aishwarya or should i say Saba was beautiful and graceful.. very up front about her desires :p that makes you somewhat uncomfortable in the cinema but otherwise great job !

The storyline is not new.. but the dialogues and the expensive clothes..great music.. SRK's cameo..alia bhatt's cameo.. all comine into a nice film. Not a 300 crore film..it is not that ground breaking beautiful but does deserve a 100 crore..

Anyway.. penning off

Greys Anatomy Season 13 Episode 8 ~ the feels

Meredith Grey : my favourite character of all time ! Probably because I can always relate to her...especially the unfriendly rude aspect of her character :p

Anyway last night's episode was so damn well directed ! And after a while I feel like Shonda Rhimes has reminded every GA fan about the essence of the show..

Also got me thinking... people see what they want to see. It does not matter what you tell them or how you tell them..it does not matter if you lie or you tell the truth..they will always still see what their mind wants them to see.. You know how first impression is always the last impression? I think the brain already associates a certain energy to a person the first time you encounter them..the first few words that pop in your mind are actually what you will keep associating that person to..

Okay so I kind of drifted off from what I wanted to write about which is greys anatomy :p

DEREK !!!! THEY CUT A CLIP FROM A PREVIOUS EPISODE AND ADEPTLY EDITED IT INTO THIS EPISODE. It was so smooth and unexpected... it's nothing we had not seen before but it is just the way that the whole 39 minutes build up to those 15 seconds ! I almost thought i was there with meredith watching it happen ! Her imagination, her pain and what goes on in her mind was so well portrayed.. those last few minutes were like poetry in motion ! LIterature, art, all the fancy schmancy words that are supposed to transport you in some other dimenson..it was just that ! I'm always scared that ABC will stop the show at any point..but then episodes like these remind me why it made it to season 13 in the first place ! Truly appreciated the episode ! Actually I needed that episode because the couple of episodes before were just rubbish from a more global (12 seasons of greys watched more than twice !) perspective !

I am all praise for the actors as well.. their loss portrayed in such an elegant fashion. Meredith's had mre impact but Owen's and Richard's were eqaully well shot and displayed.

I just cannot get over the episode ! Fascinating.

Shonda also reminded me never to judge the light episodes..it is the silence before the storm xp
#neverdoubtshonda

Go watch it globe dwellers ! if not for the plot or story..do it for the creativity and the beauty of it !

Bollywood movies these days | Befikre; Ae dil hai Mushkil; MS Dhoni

Hello Humans !

It is no secret that I indulge a lot in watching bollywood movies; mainly because it is so unreal :p

Scenes from bollywood movies almost never happen in fact.. At times these movies do give unrealistic expectations upon life, the exact very reason why i keep watching them <3

HOWEVER...

Movies these days seem to focus on sex.. where to do it, how to do it..what not.. it almost takes away the magic.. I hate it ! There is a kind of cinema for that..it is called porn ><

That Befikre trailer was horrible... Who would want to have private time in front of an audience? Let alone in Paris.. That movie should not have been shot in Paris. It is disgraceful to the place really ! And Vaani kapoor probably had too much time on her hands while waiting for Ranveer to shoot the film. God knows what she did to that pretty face !

Seemingly there is Wajah tum Ho which is worse than the hatestory series..

Why don't people make movies like K3G anymore? Or Partner? :(
Even my favourite Karan johar has glimpses of "how to have sex in public locations" in his movie ! I will watch the movie first day first show but I think indian directors are trying to over do it by adding so many "sex" scenes !

I used to love watching bollywood movies as a child.. most mauritians are accustomed to those movies since early childhood.. sadly though, I would not want my future non existant kids to watch that kind of stuff ! I feel heartbroken that they will not know the magic of Karan Johar in HD!

Thankfully movies like MS Dhoni  are still being made... that was a nice family film :) LOVED IT !

Image result for ms dhoni movie

Hopefully this is just a phase..like the item song phase (at least that was fun ! )

Just had to let those thoughts out somewhere on the internet !

Going going gone

I have been absent from my blog for quite a while.. and in my last post I had promised I would try to write every single day..capturing moments and all that stuff.. but then a cascade of shitty things happened and it kept unfolding to this day..

Some days were better than others.. Yet.. It constantly feels like I see myself drowning. I thought I had someone to pull me up or at the very least pretend to do so.. guess it is just an illusion my brain conjured as a defence mechanism to make me feel better..or worse.. still cannot figure it out

Nothing tragic happened to me..not in the past couple of months anyway.. little things amount to a huge pile and there is only so much that one can carry around..

I have a heavy heart..always had.yet these days it feels like it will burst. I am to blame for it because I was stupid and imbecile to let the walls down, trust, believe and love wholeheartedly ! When a person has gone through a lot of pain, they become accustomed to it and very oblivious to others pain.. because they have suffered so much, it is impossible to believe that another person could suffer just as much in a different scenario.. I get very oblivious to people who I assume have perfect lives and get hurt by little things.. I resent every single person who has both loving and present parents, who is in a financially stable home and who has everything that their heart ever desired handed to them on a silver platter and yet they find something to be ungrateful about.. I never realised how it felt when someone was indifferent to your pain until I had it happen to me.. It simply emphasised my bitterness, added more bricks to my wall and weakened my spirits.

Anyway.. for the past couple of months I have been feeling really down, shitty and depressed.. When I tried to talk about it to someone who i thought was special..I either never got the chance to or I was told off or I got reactions where they would roll their eyes to the ceiling.. So I just keep everything t myself. That is a dangerous things to do and comes at a very expensive price because that frustration comes out in other forms.. Anyway, it is very wrong to keep expectations or seemingly these days to want love or to miss the person you love.. What hurts more is not being able to say it without being bitter or holding grudges..

I am so far gone on my bitterness and resentment scale.. there is no going back..

There is light at the end of the tunnel..but they is none underground

Penning off...
It is a harsh world !

Attempt to document my life in an artistic way || Daily blogging?

Hello Humans out there !!

I had an idea a few days ago which I really wanted to write on my blog. It was inspired by one of Zoella's daily vlogs. She mentioned an app where she snaps a picture every day, and then after a year she can view everything. Sort of like an app scrapbook thingy where she captures one second of her life everyday..something like that - watch her videos to know more :p

So anyway, I want to try something similar here on my blog. I will take one picture (minimum) everyday and upload it on my blog. Not sure if I will be able to keep up with this activity daily, but sounds like fun to me :p

I have always been the kind of person who kept diaries. When I was seven, it was the pathetic ugly notebooks that cost less than Rs.20. As i got older, thankfully the diaries got better, prettier & jucier :p
Of course, it has been impossible for me to write everyday - mostly because i get lazy sometimes. However, I always go back to writing. Not sure how to explain the relief after penning down eery fragment of your thoughts - it is lie the diary will never betray you or tell somebody else or judge you. A bff on mute :p
I even started a scrapbook - but I failed to fill it so far. I do have the intention of filling it though :3

Since it is not always easy to come up with a blog post every single day, this tiny idea of mine will come in handy :)

Also, it is a way of documenting my life as well. Yes I do know that the norm is to publish everything on Facebook, Instagram & Snapchat. As much as I love stalking people on social media and once in a while like to post a pretty picture, I am really glad that I never caved in to posting everything about my life online. I never will either.

Obviously the pictures on my blog will not reveal who I am or who my friends are - that part will be for the scrapbook. They do not necessarily need to make a lot of sense either.

I will call this project daily blogging :p After all, it is my own space on the internet and i do whatever i want with it !! <3

Hypersharp Maybelline Eyeliner

Dear Humans :)

I love Maybelline !!! <3

Eyeliners are my favourite ! The Hypersharp Maybelline one is absolutely fantastic !! To be honest, I never have any bad things to say about Maybelline products - so far in my lifetime anyway.

Cat eyes, flicks, wing liners - Whatever you like, this will do the job perfectly ! It is long lasting and water proof as well! I only rave about it, there are no flaws to it. Of course, the black is not as 'colossal' as a colossal kajal or a lasting drama 24H liner but it is one of the best liquid liners that I have ever used.

It does not feel heavy on the eyelids - a feeling I detest !! It is perfect for everyday make up. You might need a touch up if you are transitioning from a day to night look just so that your eyes pop more. Otherwise, it will last a good 12 hours.

Also, the brush? the liner? the applicator? whatever you call that thing in the picture, well it is so comfortable to use. Not too think, not too thin. It really helps with precision. I sometimes like an extremely thin line - very subtle. Other times I love to go all out - dramatic and super black. In any case, this applicator helps a lot !

I have had this for over a year and it does not seem to finish. So add long lasting to the list of pros (y).

Also, can we talk about the packaging? I rarely talk about packaging because I truly do not care. As long as the product works,  am good ! However, this one I love !! It caught my eye. It looks really classy for some reason.

The size as well is very adequate. I find myself dropping it in any handbag that I am carrying. I do not face the issue of the cap coming out loose and my bags going all black inside. So, another plus !!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!

Anyhow lovely humans, I hope you are having a good day whereever you are. I certainly am not :p Thankfully my blog helps to distract me :p

Recent Read : The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins | Thoughts

Hello Humans !!

If you read my blog then you know I have this thing where I write a post about the books that I read (sometimes). Reading is very therapeutic. I get to see the shit unfolding in character's lives and for some reasons, it makes me feel better :p Like I am not the only one with a shitty life.. Sometimes I feel like I am leading the characters life. Does that sound crazy? Probably.

Anyhow, I recently read The Girl on The Train.

On my copy of the book, someone reviewed it as the next Gone Girl. Sadly, I do not share the same opinion.

After Gone Girl, i was like : SHIT ! WTFF ! OMG !

I did not really have the same reaction for this one. I think I read so many reviews of this book where people are raving about how unpredictable the author is. Maybe she is, but i figured the story out about halfway through the book. I had thought I would be mind blown, but i was not. Nonetheless, it is a great story, Wonderful writing. There is a line from the book : "...there's an itch at the back of my brain that i just can't scratch." That is exactly how I felt during the first half of the book. I wanted it to be like that till the very end. I slightly hate myself for figuring out the plot beforehand.

Rachel is a delight to read - I got so engrossed in her character that I sometimes felt like i was drunk myself ! That's how good the narration is. The drowsiness, blurriness and blackouts - so very well described. I love how the narration is not one where the character is feeling bad about drinking from the beginning. How gradual the shift is from religiously drinking to having to snap out of it. Most impressive part was that she was not helped by anyone.

Megan is one character that I did not connect with - on any level. I could not understand the fascination Rachel had with her nor her way of being really. Though, I assume there are actual real people out there like that.. Anyhow, not much to say about Megan.. She is not alive for the most part of the book.

Anna has very little narration. I did not like her very much from Rachel's perspective but when I read her viewpoint, she made much more sense. I would have loved to read more of what Anna felt.

Anyway, for her first book, Paula Hawkins did a smashing job. I would say this book was a solid 3.5/5 stars. I adore the fact that all loose ends were tied at the end of the book because I hate to be left hanging :p

It is not a lazy book as well - in the sense that you have to keep track of events and the date stamps at the beginning of each chapter. For someone who was bored to death as me, it was entertaining! I cannot wait to watch the movie in ! Plus, it stars one of my favourite actresses as Rachel <3

Flic en Flac | Islander 03

Hello Humans !

It's been a few days since I posted on my blog. I have been busy and somewhat lazy :p
Apologies !!

Anyhow, recently I went to Flic en Flac and got a few pictures of the sunset - okay I have to admit the sun had already set but it was still pretty to watch !!

Flic en Flac is one of the most popular beaches of Mauritius. I used to love it when the beach was not that eroded. It was easier to swim as well - now the sand is just full of corals - corals that are supposed to be on the reef. But oh well - climate change, increasing sea level, increasing sea surface temperatures and oceans acidifying - I could not expect any better :p
Let us not forget human activities - digging, building, etc etc.

Anyhow, I seem to have gone on a bit of a ramble about climate change. Never mind - I will not bother to edit that out.

Excuse the lack of megapixels :p

College to University : Stepping in the University of Mauritius

Hello you !

I had never thought of writing a blog post concerning university until..well..now :p

I  believe there are tons of YouTube videos out there that already give you a brief idea as to how university life proceeds. There are thousands of articles on how to juggle assignments, tests, exams & all that jazz as well. To be honest, I really like reading those, even if i do not apply any of the tips or advice :p However, I never really read any article about how life was going to be at the University of Mauritius in particular. There are not that many videos out there. You do get all the gossips from Facebook..though the amount of posts can get overwhelming. You cannot trust each and every post either because it is all subjective. Not that you should be trusting this post completely, but I thought I would share some basic tips, etc etc :p

Now, on the University's website, it is clearly mentioned that any kind of information that administration deems inappropriate will result in sanctions. So, do not expect any kind of 'juicy' bits and pieces. Mauritian newspapers and Facebook are appropriate for that :p

My post will be an innocent one - to people who are actually aiming for something in life.

If you are still reading up to now, then great, let's get started.

Firstly, do not be trusting of ANYONE or anything, except for university deadlines :p
(The university may not respect its own deadlines but if you do not abide by them, you will be bankrupt by the end of your degree)

If you thought there was too much pressure for your A-levels, uni is worse. You will be ambushed by the amount of assignments, lecturers, modules and people around you. There are mentors there to help you in the beginning but they will not tell you everything.

Be observant and communicate with the people around you. Do not restrict yourself to the first person that you speak to (I did that and turns out I was lacking tons of useful information). The minute you step into that auditorium for you induction, you need to be attentive. Listen and try to grasp as maximum as possible. Engage with your class mates as well. You will undoubtedly be spending a lot of your time doing group projects with them so there is no point in keeping your distance or trying to be superior than the others.

Of course, do not trust anybody because you really have no way of knowing people..not until you've actually spent a few weeks with them. Do not believe every tiny thing that your hear. Rumours are way too common at the university. I spent a year there and till date I cannot really distinguish between what's true and what is not sometimes.

If you think your lecturers will be your safe haven, then please scratch that out of your brain. Respect them, attend lectures, keep you head down and you will be good to go.

Make sure to attend the INDUCTION !
I did not want to attend the induction for various reasons but I am glad I did. Most of the speeches will be boring. You will be congratulated upon your admission to UoM far too many times. It will get annoying. Remember to deep breathe.

The induction becomes 'interesting' post the speeches. Your batch will be assigned mentors who will give you a guided tour of the campus and tell you a little about the latest happenings. They will bitch about lecturers as well. My advice is to ignore that part. Form your opinion a few weeks after you have actually met with the lecturer. It is not right to judge them before experiencing their classes yourself.

Aside from that, there is a lot of helpful information that will be given to you, about modules and module registration.
Do listen to whatever they have to say as the university website is not that user friendly :p
Atleast to me it was not ! I really struggled to register for my modules and without the help of the seniors, I'd probably have ended up with tons of fines.

You will be told where to collect your bus pass. Where to print stuff. How to look for books at the library. Laboratory protocols. other very useful information.

Be yourself.
You really have to be, especially if you want to make genuine friends. There is no point really in faking who you are. Unlike college, uni people are not that forgiving. They will leave you stranded. In a place like Uom, where most people really need to expand their perspectives, you really need good friends to survive..

Your friends will make the experience less painful, in the sense that they will go through more or less the same troubles as you do. They will understand, and sometimes going on rants and having someone say : "I GET IT !" at the end, is simply what you need.

Trail Blaze
Do not try to copy what everybody else is doing. You already know your hopes, dreams and ambitions. Focus on them. Remember to study, work hard and do not let UoM get to you. It can be a very harsh place - you will unveil that for yourself.

I have witnessed people who went to school/tuition with me undergo drastic changes, some for the better but most for the worse.

It is okay to be your own self. It is okay if you are not the most popular girl/boy on campus. It is okay to a nerd. It is a okay to be a geek. It is okay to be all fun and outgoing. It is okay to be anything as long as you study.

Do not get engulfed by all the 'fun' that will come your way upon entrance to uni. Many focus on the fun and not the study part. This in turn reflects on their final year transcripts. Fortunately I had a lecturer who groomed us since the very beginning and warned us about how difficult acquiring a degree can be. It may seem easy. but IT IS NOT ! After all, there has a to be a distinction between a degree holder and a non degree holder. Likewise, someone who scores a first class degree cannot be viewed same as someone who scores a third class degree.

Do not judge
As simple as that. Being judgemental will get you nowhere :p

Keep holding on
Now, I know a lot of you out there are not very pleased with the idea of attending UoM. You were probably aiming for something else, maybe you wanted to go abroad or wanted to attend another institution... or maybe you did not get your first degree choice at UoM.. or maybe you are going through financial situations..any problem or issues you might be going through..

Be strong and keep going !!! There is nothing more rewarding than hard work. It is the sole thing that pays off. Earn a first class degree and chase your dreams afterwards !! It is okay if your path is not exactly how you had imagined it to be... it is the destination that matters. Do not be bitter or unpleasant..it will make things harder.

Keep an open mind. Be patient. You are not the only one. You may find people exactly like you and well, connect etc.

Anyway, that was it. Maybe I will do another post on how to organise yourself for university later. For now that is it. Attend the induction. Be friendly, not judgemental. Make your own opinions. Have an open mind. Grab all the information you can get as it will help you adjust faster and better.

Enjoy yourself and STUDY ! Work hard, play hard, right?

One Litre Of Tears | Thoughts

Hello Humans !

A while back I (BINGE) watched this Japanese Series of YouTube called One litre of tears.

Upon watching the trailer, I thought that the protagonist would be shedding 1 litre of tears - or maybe her family members and loved ones. Maybe they do... But then I read online somewhere that this show was supposed to make the viewer cry one litre of tears. IT MADE TOTAL SENSE !

That show is just disturbingly overwhelming. Honestly, I was secretly hating myself for watching it because it was so heavy on the mind ! I loved it though!! It is a great show, wonderfully written and enacted ! You really feel the pain and anguish of each character.

Basically the show revolves around this girl who unfortunately suffers from spinocerebellar something disease - a degenerative disease where neurones do not transmit signals properly to the brain. Anyhow, the series documents the ten years of her life with that disease and her struggles. It is truly fascinating how she never gives up on life and tries her very best to be there for her loved ones. The latter are obviously devastated. Yet they try very hard to give Aya(the girl) a somewhat normal and fulfilling life. Of course there is a boyfriend, named Haruto (so cute !!). Although having issues if his own, he never gives up on Aya and keeps on loving her. Can't trust boys nowadays to stick around if you are in a wheelchair, can you ?

Despite the amount of emotions that this show triggers, it is worth a watch. Engaging, gripping and absolutely fantastic !! It got me looking for similar things to watch. Unfortunately I haven't found anything yet.

Watch away if you'd like :

Anyway, I just had to have a post about One Litre of Tears on my blog !

Islander | Mon Choisy Beach

Hello everyhuman :)

How's life?

A few days ago I wrote a blog post titled Islander in which I said i would explore my own country a little more.

Well, I have not been the best at it but recently I went to the beach, took some pictures and thought I would post them on my blog.

I went to Mon Choisy and spent the day at a hotel. I had a wonderful time !! Thanks to my boyfriend for the treat <3

It was really soothing to lie down and watch this beautiful sight. Relaxing and refreshing as well.
There's something about the ocean that I cannot quite explain..the grandeur, the mystery, the vastness, the colour, the slight notion of what lies underneath..it is truly amazing !!

That's all for today folks :)

How to make your Mehendi last longer | Tips to obtain the deepest henna colour

Hello beautiful human reading this :)

If you have not heard of Mehendi or henna before, then let me give you a very quick 'intro'.

It is essentially a paste made from leaves of the Henna tree and upon application, it turns the skin into a deep burgundy/ reddish brown colour. It kind of reminds me of Bromine (yup from the periodic table) :p The mehendi stain does not last forever - it wears off after a while. It depends on which part of the body you apply it and what that part of the body is exposed to. For example, on your hands - it will start wearing off after a 1week - 2 weeks. However, on your shoulders - it will probably last a month or more because that part is not exposed to as much water as are your hands.

For centuries now, people have applied mehendi on their skin in the form of various designs to enhance their beauty. The most common ones are paisley, peacock, floral and somewhat baroqu-y designs. When applied correctly, it really is gorgeous to look at. Some people use henna for temporary tattoos as well.

I adore the smell of it <3
I do know some people who cannot stand the smell but hey..girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to look pretty :p
Not implying that mehendi is limited to girls but I have never really quite witnessed men wearing it.

Anyhow, I am on of those people who can actually apply henna. Not gonna lie, it does require patience and is a very painstaking task - especially when applying on hands, arms etc. However, it is absolutely worth it once in a while. I do it as a hobby and it did take quite a lot of practice to get it right. So here are some tips to make the mehendi last longer. Tried and tested by the way.

1. Time of application

It is very important that you choose when to apply mehendi very carefully. Applying it too earlier on will cause it to start fading. Likewise, if you wait till the last minute then the colour will not deepen to its full potential.

I would suggest 2 days before an event. Not that day before nor on the very same day since the henna has to be absorbed by your skin. Also, your body temperature will make the colour darker and prettier.

I would also suggest that you apply it in the afternoon or evening so that the henna has time to dry and you can rub it all off before going to bed.

It is okay to keep the henna on while sleeping but it is quite cold and will definitely cause your hands to remain cold throughout the night. Plus, the mess that the dried henna will cause is something you really wanna avoid :p

2. Lemon juice with Sugar

When your henna has started to dry up, you can take a piece of cotton wool - dip it in a lemon-sugar mixture and dab it slowly all over your mehendi. This will ensure that bits and pieces that dry up faster do not fall off. Also, for some reason this does make the henna deeper.
Something that I have also noticed is that when i allow bits and pieces to fall off, the final overall mehendi is not of uniform colour.

Rmember to make the lemon juice + sugar mixture very concentrated, ie, add more sugar than necessary. The thicker the mixture- the better. You do not want that juice to drip off or slide across your hands - this will ruin your mehendi.

3. Warm Oil

When all your mehendi has dried up completely and it starts to itch - then you know it is time to rub it off.

If you have applied the lemon-sugar mixture - wash your hands (with luke warm water preferably).

If you haven't, then do not wash your hands.

Warm some oil and using tissue paper or a peice of cloth or cotton wool, apply it to your skin.
Now, warm the oil - do not let it simmer or DO NOT BOIL IT ! Otherwise your skin will melt off. the oil should be luke warm - that is it.

The warm oil will help keep your hands warm. You could put your hands in some old socks as well - for maximum colour.

4. Avoid Water

This is the most obvious one - avoid water. Now, I know it is impossible not to use water but try not to. It will cause your mehendi to start fading.

5. Warm hands

Keep your hands warm as much as possible.

Wrap it in a towel. Put some socks on. Stay in Bed. Whatever you need to do :p

That is it really. 5 full proof ways to ensure that your mehendi lasts longer.
Of course these are things that I have tried myself and will not necessarily work for everyone.

Please note that henna does not necessarily have the same colour on all people :P

Current Eyeliner Favourites | Maybelline

Hello Humans of this Planet !

Today I thought I would talk about my eyeliner faves !! <3 Who doesn't love a good eyeliner huh? :3

Ever since I was a little girl i watched my mother apply Kohl every single day - even if she was not planning to go anywhere. It was sort of like her daily make up staple :p

Naturally, I grew to like kohl as well - even if I am too lazy to wear it every day :p

Kohl, Eyeliners, Kajal - whatever you name it, I have tried quite a lot and my faves are :

  1. the COLOSSAL KAJAL by Maybelline New York
  2. LASTING DRAMA 24H - Automatic Gel Pencil by Maybelline New york :p
The Colossal Kajal was probably one of the best things ever created by Maybelline ! This thing lasts forever <3
Okay, not forever but it really is water proof and once I have applied it in the morning - it can stay put for the whole day up to night time without any touch up ! It does not melt in the heat nor looks cake-y after 12-15 hours ! One could dream to have these qualities in a kajal and well, Maybelline turned it into reality.

It makes the eyes look really beautiful however way you decide to apply it.

It can be used on its own without any eye shadow because it is quite overpowering. A little will go a long way. You can blend it with an eye shadow brush to give yourself an amateur smokey eye ! It will last longer than eye shadows and well - you do not have to spend minutes blending and blending and blending.

Or you can simply apply a thin coat on your waterline - will definitely make your eyes pop! Yup - even the thinnest coat will make your eyes look dramatic and wonderful and all good things !  By all means, apply eye shadow, or other fancy schmancy stuff on your eyelids as well - these will only make you look more beautiful !

Colossal Kajal is definitely one of my staples !! So is the lasting drama 24H actually :p One can never have too many staples :p

The lasting drama is not of the same consistency as the kajal. Is it lighter and for some reason, feels slightly tingly on my water line. I still apply it anyway :p

This one tends to get slightly cake-y after 12hours and requires touch up if you wanna look good. I would say this one is more suitable for daily make up - for going to work or day time activities.

It makes the eyes pop just as well as the colossal kajal so all's good :)

8 TV shows/series to binge watch !

Hello Humans !!

So today's blogpost is a compilation of a few tv series that I really like watching. I can't say that they are my all time favourites - that is a far too difficult list to write. However, I would say they are very entertaining and I have binge watched most of them - hence the title of the article.

Also, this is not a post where I give you an idea of the plot whatsoever - watch the shows to find out. I have inserted trailers where ever I could find a suitable one. I have no idea what is wrong with YouTube search because fan videos seem to pop up first and I tried looking for the network's original trailers in vain - too many fan vids. Not that I do not like fan videos but YouTube has got to work on its search results ! Better get on with this list otherwise this will become a rant about YT XD

Enjoy !!

1. Gossip Girl

"Gossip Girl here - your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite"

The above sentence describes the whole show actually :p It about the drama in Upper East Side..

Blair Waldorf is the only reason I watched the series till the end. Also, it kind of satisfies everyone's secret desire of wanting the lives of these high class personalities.

2. Game of Thrones

You would be 'uncool' these days if you haven't started watching Game of Thrones. 6 seasons in, it is really gripping and you can never expect what is going to happen next. Also, it is probably the biggest show on television right now.

The first 2-3 episodes are a pain to watch to be honest - I could not understand anything. But you gotta keep watching.. after 5 - 6 episodes, you won't stop binging ;p

3. Sherlock

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock <3 What better could you ask for??
This one is probably the best show on this list. Basically it is about the adventures of Sherlock and Dr Watson. There are not many episodes but all of them absolutely worth it.

4. Orphan Black

Orphan Black is a must watch. I have already raved about it in two previous blog posts so feel free to check those out :)

Also, my favourite character is FELIX !!! <3 He is like gay best friend goals :p

5. Quantico

This one is damn good ! Not your average love story or cliche tv show. I have never come across any show like this before and I cannot wait for season 2 !!

6. Grey's Anatomy

12 seasons old and a 13 season on the way - there must be something about the show for it to have run for so long ! It is very very very dramatic. No one is perfect in the show and everyone is trying to be the best version that they can of themselves - basically living. You get to follow the storylines of various characters even if Meredith Grey is the lead of the show. Definitely my favourite !!

I had actually come across the season 8 finale on YouTube and it was so heart breaking. I went and binge watched the whole thing !! Never regretted !

7. Switched at Birth

This one is more for teenagers I think - but i love watching it anyway !! :p

title says it all :p

8. Mistresses

If you like the Gossip Girl vibe, then Mistresses will fill in the void for you. It is not on the Upper East Side and the people are not as rich, but the show still reminds me of Gossip Girl. Maybe due to the same writers.

Anyhow, gotta go

Humans these days

Hello globe dwellers !

I have been thinking a lot these days - pretty much the only exercise to my brain actually and I have come to realise that I do not really like people all that much anymore. Not sure if I am selfish, spiteful and simply careless or because I cannot stand the stupidity of most of humans these days. Not talking about IQ here..just you know..generally... OR maybe this is some sort of phase..

Long ago I used to be popular and I loved it. I enjoyed having a ton of friends and the more people talked to me, the better I used to feel about myself. Going out with friends, engaging in meaningless conversations, making fun of everything, trying to impress others - sort of like making a place for myself and fitting in - these pretty much defined me.
To be very honest, I even used to feel somewhat superior to others. Very shitty logic - I know. When people craved my attention or when I was the topic of conversations, I used to love it. I felt strangely powerful. It was only temporary though. Maintaining that image required too much effort - the more you gave, in terms of time and energy, the more you had to keep giving. The only thing I used to receive in return was a slight boost in self esteem for a short period of time and them pouff...gone. The whole facade became my life very quickly. I would get very defensive and territorial when anyone would try and take that away from me - be it my mother preventing me from attending a party or anyone doing better than me out there. I used to believe that my popularity was all that mattered.

Since I was a child I got into the habit of telling people what was 'nice' to hear and stuff that would get me their 'approval' and 'recognition'. Not that I am a polite, gentle person - I can be so mean and tactless - I could easily play one of the mean girls. I did not bully though..Instead I would devote my time and energy to stuff that did not matter - instead of studying I would focus on other activities - mainly those that involved grabbing the attention of other people. I worked hard to be the shallowest version of myself - thinking that I was portraying a strong, invincible person. In reality, I was consistently screwing up everything that would eventually make me strong and invincible. Plus, I am the kind of person who, unless realises things by herself, will have a very hard time abiding or listening to advice. I try to..but really until it makes sense in my head - it does not make sense (if that whole sentence made sense XD). I genuinely feel so bad when I am told that I am wrong because I would like to do the right thing. Just can't seem to get the formula right.

Truth is I never really quite 'fitted' anywhere - I lied my way through and usually found myself saying stuff that I genuinely did not believe in. It was as if I was watching myself enacting some part of a theatre play or something. I really did not like getting into conversations where I would feel vulnerable - especially with people who do not give a damn - just curious.

Anyway, the point is.. none of those things matter anymore. I feel good not having to talk to people - even those I considered my friends. There are fragments of friendship that remain - but there are truly very few I would like to keep. Some I am eager to let go of. Even family members - I just do not get it. I feel like it  is so fake - everyone pretending like they care and talking talking talking talking talking - giving endless advice.. THEN in time of need... talkers disappear. Also, There is no way that they accept you for who you are - there are a set of pre conceived notions as to how you are supposed to be - what you are supposed to do blablablablablablabla. So many bloody expectations. I know one should just do their thing and not care about what others say - but really...could others stop shoving their faces into people's business? get a life. Seriously. Live and let live - that is the motto we should all be living by.

Maybe this is a phase I am going through... or a phase that everyone goes through. I just feel so angry at the world.. too much oppression. There may be no guns around here but people can speak daggers and poniards ! Probably this is what adulthood feels like? Wanting to run away ? It gets too much some times - I just want it to stop - I have been wanting that for quite a while actually. Feeling demotivated -disgusted - discouraged - not much to go on. It comes in waves - there are days where I am more patient than others - and days like today where I wish I could cease to exist. It would not matter to most people - I know it would shatter some though.

Anyhow, I have no idea why I felt the need to write all this on my blog. I hope in a few months I laugh my ass off when I read this post again. I really wish I am not feeling the exact same way in the future.

La Margarita Hotel - Mauritius | Day Package via Marideal.mu | Review

Hello Humans of the globe !!

How's life? Hope all's good and fantabulous :)

So recently, I went to spend the day at La Margarita Hotel found at Pointe aux Piments through Marideal.mu : http://marideal.mu/margarita-hotel-day-use-room.html

Of course, like everyone these days, I googled the place and wanted to read a few reviews before going in. However, I could barely find any that were elaborate. So I decided to write a blog post so that it may be of some help to other Mauritians or tourists that are interested.

First of all, if you are going by the bus you should go to 'La Gare du Nord' in Port Louis and take the bus to Pointe aux Piments. It may sound obvious but I am sure a lot of people would not know that :p
I suggest going by car or a taxi because it is a really long trip, can get very tiring and annoying as well since the busses are not exactly comfortable.
Second, you cannot go in expecting a 5 star hotel.

It is a small hotel, perfect for getaways especially if you want to disconnect yourself from daily life and routine. I liked the fact that it was very private and remote. If you would like to spend some quality time with someone, this place is a good option.

The day package costs Rs 900 for one person, and it is a very reasonable price for what you get.

Upon arrival, the staff greeted us very politely. After the formalities, a cocktail was served - as promised by the day package.

Welcome cocktail :

Afterwards, we were taken to the room, and given a little tour.

The room :

Overall the room is quite nice.

There is a television with local channels - definitely not something I would go for if I were to stay there for a few days. There was plenty of storage - too much I would say. The cupboard was really big and took up a lot of space. There was no duvet - only a quilt folded in the cupboard. To be very honest, I was disgusted by the quilt - would not even touch it, let alone cover myself with it to sleep. The hotel could really invest in duvets. The bed was really comfortable though.
I forgot to take a picture of the bathroom, but it was okay. The toilet seat was somewhat yellow - not because it was dirty, but I think it was old.
There was no mini fridge nor any mini bar in the room, just fyi.

View from the room :

I did miss a beach view :( Not to worry though, the beach is quite close to the hotel. I'd say a five minute walk maximum.

Lunch (Salmi de Poulet) :

The staff had asked around what time we would like to have our lunch upon arrival.

Everything was ready when we went down to eat and I loved that. I absolutely hate waiting for food in restaurants etc, I am glad I did not have to.

I was so famished I forgot to take a picture before eating. I will insert one that I took after I had begun to eat, sorry in advance if it's not very good looking.

The lunch did not include drinks - I wish it did. Even water would be nice but we were not offered anything. The menu had prices excluding vat, which was annoying because you really do not feel like doing the maths in order to know how much you are going to pay for drinks when you are out there to have a good time.
The food menu was quite limited as well. The food was really yummy though. Quality was good (y)

One thing that really bug me was the cutlery - I was not sure it was 100% clean. I found a layer of dust on the spoon, which means that it was not changed for a while. The napkins were really old, rusty I would say. Even the table cloth was old.

Deserts :

Deserts were okay. As i mentioned earlier, for the price paid, you cannot expect fancy schmancy stuff :p

Another thing I did not quite appreciate was the fact that we were not given another set of spoons for desert. Like, what was I supposed to eat my ice cream with? The dust layered tablespoon? I am not sure you eat desert with a table spoon either.

Also, There was an empty beer glass that was not taken away, nor was the chilli pickle before they served us desert.

It made me realise that the staff probably do not have any formal kind of training.

They  were extremely polite and sweet, no doubt about that. Certain fundamentals missing though. There is considerable room for improvement.

The Restaurant :

 The Bar area :

There is a pool table next to the bar - I forgot to take a picture.
We did not have anything from the bar so no idea about the drinks menu.

The entrance :

I had a really nice day at La Margarita Hotel, mostly because I was in extremely good company :)

The place may not be huge but it is worth a try.

If you are a tourist coming to Mauritius to explore the island, looking for a place to crash at night - then La Margarita is a perfect choice. If you want a beach view, and are coming only for the white sand, azure blue sky, paradise island feeling, then it is not the place for you.

If you are on a tight budget and would like to treat yourself to a holiday, then definitely try this one.

Anyhow, I really hope this post was helpful to anyone out there.

Gotta run,

Skin care tips for the Winter | My top essential products for glorious skin during Winter | Affordable products

Hello Blogging World !

It is winter here in Mauritius. It sounds funny saying that because a few years back, winter was not really winter like.. It was more of a cool summer really (still is in certain places around the island). However, we all know about climate change..so xp

Anyhow, my skin has never gone through so much trouble before because of the seasons. Also, I live on the Central Plateau - so the temperature is cooler and well, my skin suffers. I had to come up with some tricks so that I would not be peeling off, or looking like Jorah from Game of Thrones (someone told me the skin of my hand was beginning to look like that -.-).

So this post is going to be about some affordable products and few tips.

1. First and foremost, use a moisturising formula for your shower gel.

Very important. And yeah, avoid soap unless it is a special kind of soap that will not damage your skin.

2. Water

I know it's cold and you don't feel thirsty but getting those 2 L of water will keep your skin hydrated. Added bonus : you will cleanse your body as well :p

3. Face moisturiser

It is imperative that you apply moisturiser regularly, at least once a day. If you are one of those people that have perfect skin, then i hate you, get out ! XD
My skin starts peeling off when I don't use anything on it for a few days so moisturiser daily is a must. Screw climate change for these low temperatures. I live on a bloody island. Should be summer..all the time.

I use the Bioderma Sensibio Rich during winter ( in the summer I use another formula). It is really light on the skin and works wonders. If you didnt know already, I am a fan of Bioderma products :p This is probably the most expensive product but absolutely worth it especially when it comes to the face.

4. Hand creams | ESSENTIAL

Since I am not really a fan of moisturisers and I use them against my will, I tend to use products that will not feel heavy on the skin. So far, the only hand creams I could bear to use are those of Nivea. Plus they smell good <3
I usually have one in my handbag and one at home. You can totally tell from the pictures which one stays in my bag XD

5. Vaseline - Oldie but Goodie

Good old Vaseline  - always works. You can apply it anywhere really. I do not like the feeling of Vaseline on my skin but recently it has become a must. It acts like a quick fix because it really does help heal skin. Also, it is not that expensive. At times when my lips are extremely chapped, i apply Vaseline, after 15 minutes I'm good to go ! This thing works despite the ugly taste ! Long ago the smell was intolerable but it fairly okay now.

Also, how cute is the new packaging? I'm totally in love with it.

6. BABY OIL

Ever wondered why babies have soft skin?
Because thy have people rubbing them with oils ever since they are born ( especially in Mauritius..that tradition where an old lady comes and heats the oil and massages the baby..no idea what you call that ritual).
So keep up the tradition and apply oil to your skin.. of course you have to apply it at reasonable times of the day. Before going to bed for example. It can be used as an alternative to moisturiser.

7. Lip balm

Crucial, especially when you are out and about. Nothing is more disgusting than chapped lips. I hate the feeling of cracked lips. I also hate the feeling of lip care but i'd rather apply it.

I usually use Babylips from Maybelline.

8. Regular Body Moisturiser

Well everyone uses basic moisturiser. I use Nivea..again light on the skin and not sticky.

9. Do not get out of the house

Really..stay in bed, all comfy :3

Anyway hope that helps.

Good bye,
BusLady

Current favourite YouTube Channels | Top 11 YouTube Channels to binge watch

Hey there Humans :)

What's up??

Well, I am currently during holidays. I am LOVING it..because I spend my time doing mostly nothing :p There are so many things I could do but I I'm just so tired you know..

Anyway, so when I am actually doing something, a lot of the times it is watching YouTube. Who doesn't??

Below is a list of the channels I watch religiously (in alphabetical order because I could not seem to arrange those in order of preference) :

1. ANUSHA Dandekar

Basically the Indian-Australian version of Zoella :p
To be honest, I like Anusha better though :p She is a model and already had a successful career before she started her YT channel. She calls her show Diva on Duty. She is really lovely.
Her tips are very useful, doable and not over the top. Some of her videos are hilarious - the 7 seconds challenge she had with her boyfriend or the song challenge with her best friend.

She was a judge on the first season of India's Next Top Model and my favourite !! :) I am all praise !!!

2.BBC AMERICA

I love their shows because I find them quite unique, for example orphan black!!!! Plus bloopers, making of, extended scenes <3 LOVE LOVE LOVE !!

3. BUBZVLOGZ

Lindy aka Bubz was literally the first youtuber I ever subscribed to!! She has a beauty channel as well, Bubzbeauty but I recently started liking the vlog channel better. She was living in Hong Kong and recently moved back to Ireland. Her poop stories are epic!!! XD
Also, the pep talks <3
I love how she is way too honest with the camera.. so real xp No fake shit :p
There is not trailer..so I am linking the latest uploaded video xp

4. CASPAR LEE

Who does not love Caspar???? :p Again, one the very first youtubers I  began watching. He is funny..there are no deep meaning to his videos, it's mostly fun and hilarious! Plus he is good looking, added bonus!! This is the cutest video and one of my favourites :

5. Cupcake Jemma

She owns Crumbs and Doilies in London.. She does amazing cakes and cupcakes. Very fancy decorations as well on the baked goods. I always watched her videos. I have attempted a few recipes, turns out quite good (would be excellent if i had skills in the kitchen) :

6. Jacksgap

Twin brothers - Jack and Finn - started this channel. Jack is mostly in charge of the channel as Finn is studying in New York now to become a graphic designer. In the beginning they used to do usual challenges and 'stupid' videos. However, they do more concrete videos now, the latest one is on Climate change. They went on an expedition with scientists - it was really cool.

I love how they did not keep on the stupidity theme as did a lot of other youtubers. Like if they are making money out of their channel, well it is for a great content.

LOVE LOVE LOVE !!

7. Laura in the Kitchen

There are a lot of cooking channels out there. For obvious reasons, I seem to connect more with Laura. She is adorable and her personality makes her great. I also watch her vlog and beauty channel - despite the fact that these are not her main focus.
She also has a cooking show on television in the US called Simply Laura - do check it out.

8. Niomi Smart

I simply love her videos and her personality really.

9. SciShow

One can always learn new things and Scishow has got some really interesting videos. It is not very difficult to keep up as well.

10. The SacconeJolys

I just like to watch other people's lives really  xp
And well i like watching them.. Eduardo and Emilia are so cute !!!

11. Tyler Oakley!!!!

I just have a good laugh each and every time :)
And the SASS! Love it (y)

I thought I would write some of my current favourites. Any of you looking for new channels to binge watch may find some inspiration as well. Also, feel free to leave any of your favourite, especially if any new youtubers out there..would love to know you :)

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 9 : Battle of Bastards | Thoughts & Spoilers

JON BLOODY SNOW ! MY HERO !!!

Hello humans of the world,

If you do not watch Game of Thrones, then please go live under a rock.

Today's episode was MASSIVE ! It made up for the last two somewhat boring episodes..
I assume those were something along the lines of  ' the calm before the storm' type of thing. And it really was !!

That Battle scene.. bloody hell.

Awestruck. It was amazeballs.

My love and admiration for Jon has grown to another level. That character never fails - he fights white walkers, he cheated death and even earned the wildlings' respect. He did show some nuance of hopelessness in the episode though.. first when all those horses were running towards him and second when he was being crushed. Yet he kept going on.
When he attacked Ramsay... I'm sure like me, most of you heaved a sigh of relief and were like : IN YOUR FACE MOTHERF**** !!!

Also, How gentlemanly is Jon? My heart melted a little when he asked Melissandre : 'Any advice?'
He has so much experience, yet how courteous of him <3

Additionally I wanted to punch him in the face when he asked her.. nope, ordered her not to revive him.
The grandeur of that battle scene was epic. It was filmed  on a huge scale and you could feel it was gigantic while watching. I wonder how that episode would have felt if I could watch it in a theatre. Better even in 3D !

And can we take a moment to swoon over the Knights of The Vale????? I have been waiting to see them in action ( even if it was not much). I just love the sound of KNIGHTS OF THE VALE. I used to love it when Lysa Arryn used to say that XD

New found respect for Davos! He is a sensible chap that one.
I can totally feel the tension mounting because he found the remains of Lady Shireen's pyre thing? and that little stag she used to carry around.
I wonder what this reveleation would mean for that Melissandre. I am grateful to her for Jon Snow's life but aside from that, me not very fond of her.

On a lighter note, I totally loved the conversation Davos had with the wildling :p

"Happy Shitting" - Tormund should have wished that to Ramsay before Jon smashed his face into a pulp.

Anyway Bolton : GONE !

Sansa for once used her brain cells and did not let the man control her life. Hopefully she is a wiser woman now - better be ! It would have been really shit had she not done what she did in the episode. I love how she did not get her hands dirty...someone else, say Arya might have demanded to kill Ramsay with her own hands. Sansa used Ramsay's ways itself. Thumbs up for that ! I have greater expectations from Sansa now. Though, I have watched the preview for next week's finale... that conversation with Baelish does not seem good.

Now that the Direwolf banner is back onto Winterfell, I am eagerly awaiting Arya's return.
Also, from the preview, is Jon the Lord of Winterfell & Warden of the North now?

Please do check out the making of this scene :

Mother of Dragons

Daenerys Targaryan never fails to impress.

I seriously hope that she and Jon Snow are somehow related. They both have shown incredible qualities and consistent growth.

Drogon is HOT btw! Pun intended :p The scene where the dragons destroyed pretty much everything did not surprise me because by now, that is the kind of reaction you really expect from Dany. Or maybe the battle scene was too much too handle, hence I could not salivate on this particular scene xD

Can we pause and take a moment to talk about the flirty conversation between Asha and Dany? LOVE LOVE LOVE !!! We already know that Asha likes girls.. it would be wonderful to see Dany step into foreign waters xD
Tyrion as always, uses his words as weapons. I miss Varys ! I wonder what mission he is on.

Anyhow, Game of Thrones <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Leaves me speechless ! Today's episode met the usual standards. Can't wait for next week !! If you haven't watched next week's preview, there you go :

On that note, penning off,
